The difference between metal zippers, injection-molded zippers, nylon zippers

Feb 09, 2021

Depending on the production process of zipper manufacturing and the material, the zipper is divided into three types: injection-molded zipper (also known as resin zipper), metal zipper, and nylon zipper (95 version zipper standard called spiral zipper). There are fundamental differences in the performance and appearance characteristics of the three types of zippers.

The tooth chain of the metal zipper belt is made of metal formed wire, which is stamped at one time, one by one arranged independently on the band of the cloth strap.

Injection zipper (resin zipper) chain, the use of injection molding mold through injection molding process, plastic (resin) one-time injection, formed on the edge of the cloth belt band ribs, the chain teeth are also a separate arrangement.

Nylon zipper belt of the tooth chain, then with polyester monolith, formed into a continuous spiral or U shape, and then stitched on the edge of the cloth belt, or disposable and polyester yarn woven, its color is generally excellent after a one-time dyeing formation.

Similarly, the three types of zippers with the pull head structure, there are also large differences, generally from the appearance, cloth seams, pull head base mouth height mouth width and different parts of the cavity to be judged.
